#Connected2018 - Saturday Evening Social & Meal

Sat 7th April - 7pm onwards - Notts County Sailing Club (£15 per person - ticketed event)

Following on from feedback after #ConnectedTEN lots of people have a requested a social event and meal after the first night of this years exhibition to allow people to socialise a little more and catch up with everyone, especially as the events through out the day are pretty busy.

So, as mentioned in the '2018 Launch Event' post with the kind support of one of our #Connected artists and the Notts County Sailing Club we are pleased to announce full details and booking for the evening social event.

The sailing club has a full licensed bar, although it is cash only, and also excellent food and carvery facilities which their caterer will use to provide us wiht a superb roast meal selection and vegetarian option. Although we do try and keep most of the events at #Connected free I am sure you'll understand we do need to make a small charge for the evening social event to cover the costs of room hire and importantly the food and caterer. After discussion we have decided that tickets for the evening event will be charged at £15 per person which will cover the roast meal and a desert and to allow us to plan for this this does need to be paid on booking.

This event is open to all participating artists, guests, families of either and we will also be inviting our guest speakers along to the meal as our special guests as a thank you for giving up their time and knowledge to inspire us through their work and presentations. The evening will also be a great opportunity to chat a little more to our guest speakers too.

The sailing club itself is around 20 minutes from Patchings and we I am sure anyone who needs a lift over their can be given a lift over, the address and map locations for Notts County Sailing Club are as follow:

The club house easily has seating for 60-70 guests and they have had a few more so although there is a limit on spaces it should be generous enough to facilitate everyone who would like to come along and their guests should they choose to book any additional tickets via the booking link below (click 'book now' button). To ensure everyone has a chance to attend and also facilitate those who may want to bring the family along for the evening event we have placed a limit of 5 tickets (yourself plus 4 guests) per person and each ticket is priced at £15 per person.

Please click the 'book now' button to reserve your space for the meal and evening event, once you have completed the booking form you will need to make your payment of £15 per person space reserved via PayPal to: [email protected] within 48 hours of registering for your spaces. Once you have made the appropriate payment we will contact you to confirm your booking for the evening event / meal and you will reserve a ticket as a PDF which you can either print out and bring along or show on your smart phone.

Bookings will close Saturday 31st March at 10pm prompt to allow us to give the caterer full and final numbers thus enabling them to plan and secure the food for the following weekend.

Should anyone book and then be unable to attend they will need to let us know no later than Monday 1st April where will offer the spaces to anyone who missed out on booking a space should demand be too high. To facilitate this once bookings total reaches the 70 upper limit we will set up a reserve list for spaces.

To add a little bit more fun to the evening after the meal we will also be running a short team based music and general knowledge quiz, we thought this would give people a bit of a laugh and a smile. Although we don't normally award accolades or awards at #Connected ;-) there will be a small fun prize for the winning team.

Accommodation at Notts County Sailing Club - tents, camper vans and caravans.

If there are folk still unsure as to where to stay for the weekend and I known some people do like to camp or may have a campervan / touring caravan, there is space at the sailing club to facilitate people who would like to stay over and the Sailing Club have kindly offered this at no charge. whilst there are no electric hook ups or chemical toilet disposal the sailing club does have indoor toilets, superb shower facilities that our guests can use whilst stopping over. The caterer also offers a fantastic breakfast from 8am for around £5 including a drink and this is payable (cash only) on the day.

The sailing club is situated along side the river trent with amazing views across the river, there may well even be morning mist for anyone who'd like a sunrise shoot and Sherwood Forest Forest is also only 35 or so minutes away.

Should you wish to take advantage of the accommodation offer for tents, camper vans and caravans then please e-mail us HERE to let us know so we can account for numbers and also liaise with people to make sure they have the keycodes required for the gates and facilities on site.

All this leaves me to say is we hope you have an amazing time at #Connected2018 as a guest, guest speaker or participating photographer and we look forward to seeing loads of you at the Saturday evening social and meal.
